Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the United States’ purchase of Alaska from Russia, your Anchorage Symphony performs excerpts from the quintessential Russian opera, Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov, on April 1, 2017 at 8PM. Governor Walker signed a proclamation to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Treaty of Cession, announcing 2017 to be the year of History and Heritage.  Read Governor Walker's proclamation 

March 3, 2017, Anchorage Museum opens exhibit "Polar Bear Garden" commemorating the Alaska purchase.  RACS will give a free concert at the opening night at 6:30 PM.  This is also the first Friday of the month - free museum entrance.  Learn more about the exhibit and its title.
